Group Lessons at Teton Pines

Group Lessons at Teton Pines

Your child’s progress is constantly monitored. We mindfully place them in groups that match their abilities. We are sensitive to the fact that children progress at different rates and are open to placing them in more appropriate groups if need be. We feel small groups are vital for optimal learning; therefore we limit our classes to 4 children.

Advanced Group Lesson
Tues. & Thurs. 8:00am – 8:45am Ages: 6 - 10.
Self-reliance, independence, and being able to swim multiple lengths of the pool will be the goal for this group. We will also introduce the four competitive strokes.

Intermediate Group Lesson
Tues. & Thurs. 8:45am – 9:30am Ages: 5 & 6.
Becoming independent in all deep water situations and being able to swim a few lengths of the pool will be the goals for this class.

Beginner Group Lesson
Tues. & Thurs. 9:30am – 10:00am Ages: 4 & 5.
This class will focus on teaching children how to roll on their backs to get a breath of air which will enable them to swim at least the width of the pool by the end of the summer.

Introduction Group Lesson
Tues. & Thurs. 10:00am – 10:30am Ages: 3 & 4.
This class focuses on going underwater by themselves and learning the beginning swim skills. We will teach children how to roll on their backs for air and self arrest using the "back float method."

Parent Toddler Group Lesson
Tues. & Thurs. 10:30am – 11:00am Ages: 6 mo. to 3yrs.
This class is for young swimmers. Under water submersion, assisted back floats and water acclimation are the main goals.
